GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard. It is an international certification that sets strict requirements for both environmental and social aspects in the production of organic textiles, which in our case applies to all cotton products in our spring/summer collections.

The certification covers the entire value chain—from the cultivation of the cotton to the finished product, including spinning, knitting, dyeing, and sewing. GOTS not only addresses environmental concerns but also sets standards for working conditions in production, ensuring fair wages and proper treatment of workers.

The GOTS certification guarantees that all chemicals used, such as dyes and bleaches, meet environmental regulations and are not harmful to either people or nature. By prioritizing the GOTS certification at FUB, we ensure that our collections are produced under the strictest environmental and social standards, and that all employees—both in our own company and at our supplier in China—work under safe and decent conditions.

Our wool products are not covered by the GOTS certification. They are OEKOTEX certified, which guarantees that the finished wool product is free from harmful chemicals.
